Watched it on Netflix last night and I loved it! Bill Maher is now my hero!
Not only is it funny but it shows you that the people behind religion are really REALLY stupid. Religion itself can be inspirational and beautiful. I mean it people, some aspects of religion aren't bad...a majority of it is REALLY bad, I'm mainly talking about the art...It created things like the St Paul's Cathedral in London, the temples in India and the art work in Italy...
But the people behind it all need to GROW THE HELL UP!

About the movie, I was stunned when I learned that most religions have a deity figure that had also been born of a virgin and has their birthday celebrated on December 25th. Come to think of it...a lot of religions have elements of old ones.
This reminds me...I had a 5th grade teacher who was the wife of our pastor and in class at my church's school, she got all fire and brimstone about how Halloween is a holiday that worships the devil. Then I learn later that Halloween was actually a religious holiday, even my catholic friend confirmed it.
I had heard something about the possibility of Jesus being gay. Also, anytime the religious nuts rant on about how Jesus said homosexuality is wrong, they are wrong! Jesus never said anything! In fact, a lot of scripture contradicts each other.
